Off to Jakarta this week.
Short update
Wednesday, February 03, 2010I have been driving to work almost everyday. There's semi-auto function in my car but I never used it. So I gave it a try on Tuesday while on my way home. Basically it's just like a manual car without clutch. Now I get to drive manual or auto whenever I feel like it. It's fun and easy. I love it. I had dinner together with my friends in Ampang area on last Monday. I'm not that familiar with the roads there. So I had to depend on them to lead me to the toll. From there, I can drive myself home. They were just on the another lane next to me at the toll and I sped off before them. They thought I was hitting 200km/h that time.
I will be heading down to PD straight after work on this coming Friday. I'm quite excited because I have never been to PD.

Friday, January 22, 2010My Miri trip was kind of rush. I haven’t seen my grandma since I got back from New Zealand. So, I flew to Miri together with my dad on Saturday and got back in KL on Sunday night. Our return flight was delayed for 50 mins so we ended up arriving at 12.30 midnight. We only got home at 1.30am and I had to go to office again few hours later. Surprisingly I wasn’t tired at all the next day because I had to drive to work. The moment the plane took off, I was completely shut down. I even slept in the car all the way back from the airport. My dad flew back to Kuching again the next day afternoon and I was alone at home for 3 days. I haven’t had any proper dinner at home since my mum went back to Kuching. I don’t like eating meals alone.
Been quite busy especially this week. I have been playing a lot with Excel lately. Honestly I’m not sure what I’m doing too. I had a meeting with my manager yesterday and he asked me to create a story line based on those charts and tables that I created. “Today you think of a story line, tomorrow you put them in bullet points on slides, Monday you go present.” Makes me feel like the world is going to end on Tuesday so I have to present it on Monday. Before I left the office in the evening, my manager said, “die die must finish oh”.
Now really die die must finish.

Friday, January 15, 2010Today was a busy day. Arrived office at 8am instead of 7.30am because I wasn't driving today. My dad had a meeting this morning so I followed his car. Feels good to be chauffeured once in a while. But I still prefer driving on my own. The Tea Talk started at 9am this morning. It was still early when I reached the office, so I went up to my floor. My manager suddenly asked me to send him a set of data in the last minute, so I was late for the Tea Talk. I thought I was late but they were still setting up the projector when I arrived in the board room. The presentations went on until 12noon. Then we all went for lunch and continued with the presentations at 2pm. When it was my turn, I asked them a question instead of me explaining the topic. I don't think they were paying attention because when I asked them the question, they all just looked at me and I was expecting them to answer my question before I continue with my presentation. Finally, a lady asked "Are you asking a question?" and I said "Yes." Only then they realised I was asking them a question. All these presentations went on until 5pm. Anyway, my presentation went alright.

Thursday, January 14, 2010Went to the gym at 4am in the morning. Will be leaving the house at 7am. I have a presentation tomorrow so I'm rushing to get my slides done. I'm not sure if I have scared the security guards when I went to get the gym key from the guard house just now.

Sunday, January 10, 2010Been very busy lately. My friend, Noel came to Malaysia on last Friday. So I took a day off from work that day and fetched him from the airport. This is his time coming to Malaysia and he seems pretty excited. I brought him around in KLCC, Sungei Wang, Low Yat and Berjaya Times Square on Saturday. We covered all these in one day. And today, I brought him to One Utama Shopping Mall and Ikano Power Shopping Centre. He will be staying here until Monday which is tomorrow. And I will be working tomorrow, so I'm a bit worried about him. Hopefully he doesn't get lost in the city. Then I will be sending him to the airport after work.
This week is going to be another busy week for me. We will be having a department lunch tomorrow to welcome a new SVP who has just joined the bank. He's very funny guy. He definitely joined at the wrong time because our floor was still having a renovation when he came. On this coming Friday, I have to attend a Tea Talk at 9am in the morning and a discussion on assignment session at 2pm in the afternoon. I'm flying off to Miri on Saturday to visit my grandma and come back to KL on Sunday night.
This coming Wednesday is a very special date. How I wish everything is still the same.
Raining days
Wednesday, January 06, 2010Had a car accident when I was on my way home from work yesterday. The traffic was very bad due to the heavy rain. Plus I had an appointment to see a doctor at 7.15pm. The accident happened at around 6pm. It usually takes me 20 minutes to reach home, but it took me an hour yesterday evening. Later I had to fetch my dad and sister from the airport. My dad arrived in KL at around 8pm while my sister arrived 3 hours later from Korea. The driver was supposed to fetch my dad first but my dad wanted to wait for my sister. I volunteered to pick up my sister from the airport myself because it would be very late for my parents if we were to go home together. But my dad said there is no need to go up and down from the airport so many times. In the end we all squeezed into one car and I was the driver. We only reached home at 1.30am in the morning.
Christmas is just tomorrow!
Thursday, December 24, 2009Can't believe I have been going to office for 3 weeks already! So far so good. I didn't get much work from my colleagues mainly because our department floor is having renovation at the moment and also, it is nearly the end of the year. So most of them are on leave too. There was even a time when I was so free that I played games on their computer. I'm lucky because I'm given a laptop instead.
Christmas is just tomorrow. My sister is coming over tomorrow and we're planning to go somewhere outstation over the weekend.
Aunty Naz bought me cupcakes again. She also bought those for me when I came back last month. But this time, the decoration on cupcakes is based on christmas theme.
