Crown Prince's Wonderful Life

Life is never too long. So let's enjoy it!

AFG

Saturday, December 12, 2009

I officially started working on Monday this week. I'm assigned to Investor Relation Department. To be honest, I'm still not sure what I'm supposed to do. Coincidently my manager's father in law passed away on that day.

"I'm so sorry. I promise I will talk to you when I get back." That's his final say before he left.

Since then I haven't seen him. I'm also attached to a buddy in that department to guide me. She has been really kind and friendly since the first day I joined their department.

Hi!

Wednesday, December 02, 2009

I'm back in Malaysia for more than 2 weeks now. I flew down to Singapore to visit my best friend, Zakil in the first week where he's currently studying his degree there. I found that Singapore weather is so much hotter than Malaysia. I was sweating like a crazy person when I was there. Me and my family also went on a short trip to Penang last weekend. We drove down to Penang on last Saturday and returned to KL the next day.

Me and my best friend, Zakil.

I also spent time meeting up with my friends in KL as well as those in Kuching. They look pretty much the same and I have great times together with them. Maybe the less you see them, the more you appreciate them. Same concept applies to food.

I flew back to Kuching by using AirAsia on last Monday. The flight was delayed for more than an hour. Same thing happened to my sister who flew back to Kuching a day earlier than me. But her case was slightly better. Her flight was delayed for about half an hour or so. Mine was MORE THAN AN HOUR. Pretty much I spent my whole afternoon in LCCT listening to my Ipod and starring at people who walk past me.

234 Kempas Heights has changed so much since my last trip. I love the entire new layout. It seems clean.

What's more? I'm flying back to KL again this coming Sunday.

Precious Moments

Sunday, October 25, 2009

Time really flies and I'm going home next month.

Learned so much this whole year.

Life has never been easy for me. Some may think I have a good and easy life. But in reality that's not the case. I'm also living in an ordinary life, doing like what other people are doing and wanting to achieve something that is based on my hardwork. It doesn't mean my life is perfect just because I get to travel and study abroad. There's also up and down moments in my life. It doesn't mean I don't have any sad moments just because I don't show them.

I'm glad that I have friends who are always there for me. Whenever I'm with them, I always laugh my heart out. I don't get to do that often in front of my other friends. They are always there whenever I need them. I'm also aware that many of my friends think that I have a lot of other friends. To be honest, I don't even remember their names. I'm just being friendly and say hi back to them whenever they say hi to me. That doesn't mean I know them well.

Beise is a really good friend of mine. I'm always having problems with my accounting subject and she's always there to help me unconditionally. I always ask her stupid questions in accounting and she doesn't mind explaining them to me one by one.

Shan Shan is another friend that I really appreciate. It's so hard to find a girl who can always listen to your personal problems these days. I'm glad that I can always look for her whenever I need to pour out my personal problems. I first met her in my Finance tutorial beginning of this year. At first I thought she came from China, only then I realised she's from my hometown.

Derek is one of my closest friends in Uni. We are both studying Finance together. He speaks in Cantonese, so I get to practice my cantonese with him all the time. I'm learning to mend my broken cantonese day by day.

Besides Derek, Rebecca is my another closest friend in Uni. She's so damn funny. She always does something unexpectedly funny and lights up my moody day. Love being with her.

I will really miss my friends when I'm back to Malaysia. I will still miss Banana the most.

Noel is another good friend of mine. We got to know each other in my Finance class this year. He's an engineer, currently working in Wellington. He's planning to move back to Auckland when his contract with the company expires end of this year.

It feels good to be with the ones that you can really rely on all the time. I wish I can pack them all in my luggage and bring them back to Malaysia together with me.

Like I said earlier on, Rebecca is a very funny girl. Her sms is as simple as this. She was asking me if I have got up from bed. She didn't even put a question mark.

She was typing good morning in phonetics sounds in Mandarin.

I was still sleeping when she sent me the sms. I haven't heard anyone calling other people Pig for decades. I couldn't stop laughing after reading her sms.

Her sms definitely lights up my stressful day.

Sorry folks, been real busy this whole new trimester. Haven't got time to update my dead blog for such a long time. Will update more often when I have got time. I'm flying back to Malaysia next month, which is good because it's time for me to have some rest after being so busy for months. On the other hand, I'm definitely going to miss my friends in NZ.

Saturday, September 19, 2009

I thought my flight going back to Malaysia is on the 14th of November. So I bought a flight ticket to Singapore on the 20th of November. And I'm only going back to Malaysia on the 17th of November.

What's more? My last exam is on the last day of uni exam.

This is sooooooooooooooooooooooo stupid.

Feeling depressed

Viva La Fiesta

Last night was such a blast. I attended the Commerce Ball organized by Viccom from my Uni. The event was held at Sandwishes Bar. The event was not completely formal as it was held at a Bar, not in a Ball room. However the event was being organized successfully and many people attended last night. I guess there were about 200 people last night.

It felt more like clubbing than attending a ball to me.

There were also finger food being served during the event.

And I also bumped into Kitty. She always surprises me whenever I see her. This time when we were at the bar getting our drinks, she said, "I have something to ask you." Felt a bit shocked but still answered her firmly, "Yes? Is there anything?" Then she tried to get off the topic, "Maybe I will ask you again when we are closer."

Okay. Now that doesn't sound good to me. So I told her, "No, is alright. You can ask me now."

"Are you gay?", she asked.

I was stunned for about a minute. Then I said, "Sorry? No, I'm not." I continued asking her, "What makes you think I'm gay?".

"Because you look so fair and with long hair."

I was speechless. Totally speechless.

Everyone was entitled to two free drinks last night.

I have no idea what she is going to ask me next time when I bump into her again.

The event started at 7.30pm. I only arrived there at about 8pm. I didn't want to get there early.

At 8pm, the place was still empty. At 8.45pm, the place was overcrowded. If you drop a dollar coin on the floor, don't expect to find it again.

As usual, people started talking and drinking. Socializing among themselves.

By 9.30pm, everyone started hitting the dance floor.

Great people, great music, great time. I was able to indulge myself in such a great atmosphere. Totally forgetting everything that bothers me for the past few months.

With two hotties. I should have taken off their masks.

I only realised I met them when I went through the photos just now. I can't remember their names.

I think her name is Anita if I'm not mistaken.

With Linda.

With her tongue out.

Kathy.

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

The DJ guy seems happy.

My college classmates!

Dance, drink, dance, drink. I don't know how many times they repeated the same routine last night.

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

Tim.

I left the bar at around 11.30pm. Then I went over to my friend's place where we all played poker game and those who lost had to drink. The drinks did not contain any high level of alcohol because they mixed it with fruit juices.

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

I was being mean. So I suggested a faster way to get everyone high. Those who lost had to drink a shot of pure vodka.

Vodka is always effective.

Then we all headed down to the city again. This time we went to a couple of clubs. We even bumped into Tim together with his friends.

These people they don't sleep. They just kept on dancing.

Dancing is more important than sleeping. I guess that's their life motto.

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

We also went to Maya but we didn't go in there.

We went to Rain instead.

I was completely exhausted. After that we all went for supper at Burger Fuel. The shop closes as late as at 4am only on Friday and Saturday.

We got there at 3.59am. So we managed to have our supper.

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

I don't know why but mine is so small.

We only call it a day at 5am this morning.
And I just woke up.

Priceless.

8.8.2009

My tutorial finished at 1.30pm and the bus to the airport came at 1.37pm. Everything went so smooth that I can't even believe it. Half an hour ago I was still cracking my head doing Economics assignment, half an hour later I was already on my way to another city. I arrived at the airport at 2.10pm.

After getting my boarding pass, I read the newspapers that I took from Uni while waiting for my flight.

It took about an hour or so to get to Auckland from Wellington. The moment I boarded the plane, I fell asleep straight away.

Reached Auckland at around 4.20pm. The Auckland airport even provides free internet access. So while waiting for my brother to fetch me from the airport, I went to check my mail and facebook. The moment I opened the facebook link, it showed another person's account.

I was really really bad. I wrote "I'm gay. Trust me." on his facebook status :p

For dinner, me and my brother went to a chinese restaurant. I can't remember the name of the restaurant. We ordered a small pot of soup individually. I think the soup was quite good. But my brother actually thought it wasn't that good compared to what he had last time. Honestly I think Auckland is more like an Asian city rather than an ang moh city. Everywhere I go, there's always asian people. What happened to those ang moh??

Chicken soup

I had sweet and sour pork on rice on Friday night.

And that was my brother's.

Then we went to watch GI-Joe together. We bought the ticket online before we went for dinner.

The movie was great. But it involves too much computer graphics, making the whole movie seems unrealistic. Overall, it's still a good movie to watch.

The movie finished at about 11.30pm. Finally we went home and I slept like a pig until the next morning.

I woke up at around 9.30am the next day. After having a nice warm bath, me and my brother walked to Imax, the place where we watched the GI-Joe to have a light breakfast. He brought me there to try out at a Malaysian stall.

The workers are Malaysian.

My dad bought me this shirt from HongKong. Isn't it cute?

The customers are also Malaysian. When we were sitting at a table waiting for our bread, one of the customers talked to the cashier in Malaysian style. Very very Malaysian I tell you.

The moment I saw the word Ice-Lemon Tea on their menu. I ordered it without having a second thought. This is my first time ever having an Ice-Lemon Tea in New Zealand.

We had Steam Kaya and Kaya Toast.

Totally love it.

It was really good. It's really easy to make but I can't be bothered to make them for myself.

That's why I never eat them when I can just go to the supermarket, buy myself a loaf of bread and a can of Kaya.

After having those, we went to Victoria Park Market. The place is quite similar to what we have in Kuching called Carpenter Street, where they sell cheap and affordable goods. I didn't buy anything from there though.

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

Then my brother brought me to this shop called Nood where they sell home decoration items. Most items are quite attractive and very modern like.

My brother's friend, Ah Kit came to join us for lunch after that. We went to have Taiwan cuisine this time.

Me and Ah Kit had Simmering Beef Noodles while my brother had Dried Noodles with Pork Mince. We also had a small side dish, Fried Squid.

My brother's Dried Noodles with Pork Mince

And my Simmering Beef Noodles.

Delicious as it seems ;)

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

Just by looking at these photos, I feel like eating the noodles again.

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

After lunch, we headed down to Orewa Beach. While my brother was driving, I was at the back reading the magazines that he took for free. And I came accross this while flipping through the magazine. Why would someone call themselves Panda? So stupid.

The weather seems good in the photo.

But in reality, the wind was strong like mad.

We didn't stay for long. Then we left.

This time, we drove down to Muriwai Beach. It's quite a distance from Auckland City. I actually fell asleep on our way there.

The moment I opened my eyes, we were already there.

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

There were so many gannets, a kind of seabird.

I left my footprint there ;)

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

And we found a starfish! A discovery found by my brother! Can't see?

My first time ever looking at a real starfish.

If you look at it near, it looks like mussels.

They are actually very small. When you see them from a normal distance, they look exactly like this.

We spent about an hour or so there. Then we went to play golf at a driving range. I haven't played it for so long.

All my standing and holding positions were wrong.

It was time to eat again. This time we went for Korean Barbeque.

Love it to the max. Since it's a buffet style, I just grab as much as I like. My brother and Ah Kit were shocked by the amount of food that I could eat

Ah Kit did most of the barbeque for us. Me and my brother were just sitting there enjoying our meal :p

My favourite! My mum will shout at me if she sees this.

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

I didn't know what it was until Ah Kit said it could be a cow's tail. I quickly threw aside.

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

Tried their noodles too.

I tried nearly everything, but I forgot to have their dessert :(

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

We had lots of meats last night. Seriously a lot.

After dinner, we went to my brother's office to grab an umbrella for my aunt. On our way out, me and Ah Kit grabbed 2 bottles of beer each from my brother's office. This is the first time I heard that the employers provide alcoholic drinks to employees. Unbelievable.

I need a break too
